Places I have borrowed / A pocket of Lakeland

An image I took over a year ago now, but one I keep coming back to.

Taken from the hills above the Newlands Valley in the north of the Lake District, after a wild camp on Causey Fell. Moist air and a clear, cold night meant that come the morning, the valleys near Derwentwater were filled with thick, rolling mists.

Not a part of the Lakes I would normally call my own, it was nonetheless a very special morning.
